Lagos state police command arrests and parades 113 COVID19 violators (photos)

  The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State,  CP Hakeem Odumosu today March 8 paraded One Hundred and Thirteen (113) men and women at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja for the violation of COVID19 protocols in the state.   Ademuyiwa Adejobi, spokesperson of the command said the violators were arrested on Sunday, March 7 at Garbana Club, Ajao Estate and DNA Club, Victoria Island, Lagos by police operatives of the command including the Lagos State Taskforce led by the Commander, CSP Sola Jejeloye.   The Commissioner of Police, while parading the suspects, vowed to go after club owners and their Landlords who contravene the town planning approvals of the state by converting their properties meant for other purposes to nightclubs. He emphasized the need to make them scapegoats so as to serve as a deterrent to others in the state.

Four Herdsmen Shot Dead In Anambra, Hundreds Of Cows Missing

At least four herders were shot dead in an attack on a settlement in Ogborji, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.... According to Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), South-East Zone, many cows were stolen in the attack which happened on Saturday.  Siddiki said over 20 Fulani herdsmen have been killed in Anambra alone from January to March, 2021.   He disclosed this in Awka, Anambra State capital, while briefing some journalists on the incessant attacks and killings of MACBAN members in the state and southeast zone in general.   Siddiki, who was visibly pained, said the latest attack on his people took place at Mohammed Idris Herders’ Settlement on Saturday.  He said he was told that gunmen entered the camp and started shooting and in the process four Fulanis were killed, while their corpses were taken away, adding that hundreds of cows were missing in the attack.  “One ...
